RESUMO: The volume collects the contributions of the international conference “Explaining art with words” held at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in March 2021 to present the results of the work on the formulation of a multilingual (Italian, German, Hungarian, Latvian, English) dictionary of artistic terms of Painting, Sculpture and Art Graphics. The dictionary focuses on some theoretical terms and on the most used operational vocabulary in the workshops of the institutions belonging to the EU4ART alliance, a pilot project for the creation of a European University of Fine Arts, funded by the European Community.
